We have shipped a series of upgrades to improve direct messaging and assistant capabilities for both users and merchants.

  • Unified Merchant Messaging: A new conversation hub linking owners, workers, and customers across all dashboards, plus weekly broadcast updates that reach every customer following the business
  • AI Assistant Upgrades: Max now gives merchant specific growth advice using real business data and understands Kiswahili and Sheng, while Roxy sounds more natural and locally flavored
  • Real Push Notifications: Order updates, new messages, and announcements now show as device alerts in addition to in-app messages
  • Map Overhaul: Cleaner map view and live turn by turn style navigation to a merchant after booking
  • Discover Tab Rebuilt: New sections for Top Rated, Verified, Special Offers, and New This Week listings
  • Password Reset: Fully functional account recovery is now live

To support the diverse range of local businesses in Kenya, we have expanded our categories and merchant toolsets.

  • New Category Specific Dashboards: Launch of twenty eight specialized merchant dashboards including Gas Refill, Water Refill, Duka, Hardware, Laundry, Tent and Chair Hire, Cyber Cafe, Butchery, Movers, and other services
  • Free QR Code Analytics: Real scan tracking and customer analytics now included for all merchants
  • Shareable Business Links: Merchants can share a branded link with rich preview on WhatsApp Status that opens straight into the app for that business

Growth Tier Pricing and Production Payments

Merchant payments and pricing tiers are now live in production, replacing the old questionnaire pricing model.

  • M Pesa Payments in Production: Fully integrated STK push support for merchant subscription payments
  • New Growth Tier Pricing: KES 250 per month flat for months 1 to 2, then dynamic pricing between KES 150 and KES 500 per month from month 3 based on merchant activity
  • New Merchant Add-ons: Options for Top Rated placement, a Verified Badge, custom Offer Placement, and AI Recommendations

Interactive Category Showcase & Brand Redesign

We have launched our new brand positioning to center around being the "one app for everyday life". We've also redesigned the experience and built an interactive categories layout.

  • Replaced all static gallery layouts with a swipeable, centered app carousel showcase.
  • Introduced the merchant category taxonomy grid supporting food, retail, events, services, and accommodation.
  • Updated primary CTAs to link directly to our Google Play Store.
  • Complete style refresh with ambient blobs, high-fidelity glassmorphism, and Clash Display typography.

Launch of Roxy and Max AI Assistants

Artem1s has officially integrated two custom-tuned AI assistants to bridge discovery and business intelligence for the Kenyan market.

  • Roxy: Consumer assistant capable of guiding users through booking, journey planning, and local search queries.
  • Max: Merchant assistant providing smart alerts, low-stock notifications, and vendor connections.
  • Enhanced location-privacy protection compliant with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.
